KIAN works closely with several international award-winning designers from all over the world to give our customers authentic, original designer furniture that is exclusive to KIAN. Their collective creative genius allows our designs to constantly remain relevant to ever-changing trends and tastes, and yet not lose touch with the past. The result is a dynamic, broad and diverse range of furniture choices that include the contemporary as well as the classic and traditional, with new designs in the works every month.

ENRIQUE MARTÍ AGUILERA

Spain

Enrique Martí Aguilera is an Industrial Design Engineer who holds a Master’s in Design and Product Development from Cardenal Herrera, CEU University, Spain. His nine years with the Spanish company Andreu World SA, culminating in the position of Product Manager managing the Design and Technical department, rewarded him with extensive experience in the furniture business as well as with in-depth knowledge of market needs.

HANS THYGE & CO

Denmark

The Hans Thyge & Co design studio was founded in Denmark in 1990 by Hans Thyge Raunkjaer. The studio, made up of Hans Thyge and a team of talented young designers, specialize in branding, industrial and interior designs. With extensive experience in advanced modelling, working with a wide variety of materials and production methods, the team juggles everything from technical projects to fashionable living concepts with a strategic and commercial approach. The studio has received several prestigious awards in the international design scene over the years.

SAKURA ADACHI

Italy

From the land of the rising sun to the Italian Peninsular, Sakura Adachi is an Industrial Designer with an illustrious background in her field where she holds a Master's in Industrial Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London. Currently based in Milan, she founded Sakura Adachi Design Studio, and has since worked and collaborated with numerous acclaimed Italian design studios and manufacturers such as Atelier Bellini and Alessi, just to name a few. Her unique designs have garnered international attention with its combination of conceptual and craftsmanship approach, even being awarded with the RED DOT Design Award.

JERRY LOW

Singapore

Multiple award-winning designer Jerry Low is the founder of A Balcony, a furniture design studio in Singapore. Since 2000, Jerry’s speciality has been in the areas of commercial fixtures display, residential kitchens and wardrobe systems. His knowledge of and experience in these areas are reflected in his designs. Jerry’s work has been exhibited in various international furniture exhibitions that include Milan in Italy, Germany and New York.

MORTEN GEORGSEN

Spain

Morten Georgsen is the founder of By Georgsen, the design studio established in 1992 in Denmark with headquarters in Valencia, Spain, and offices in China and Vietnam. He is a leading international design expert with a varied background in design and product management, marketing/advertising, and knowledge of speakers and lamps because of his nine years with Bang & Olufsen. Morten’s designs prioritise functionality and elegant simplicity. This down-to-earth approach has made him one of the world’s most successful furniture designers. Morten is also a jury member of the iF Design Award, which is among the most prestigious design competitions in the world.

SILVIA MARLIA

Italy

Originally hailing from Milan, Silvia Marlia has worked in various areas of the design field since 2002 for international companies as a furniture designer as well as a product and interior designer. Combining her passion for design and her educational background, she has run Sand (sandforkids.com) since 2012, a high-end furniture and accessories brand for children. In 2015, Silvia launched in Shanghai a growing family of furniture for adults. She is also a visiting lecturer at the Insight School of Interior Design, Hong Kong, on the subjects of children's environment and furniture design for children.

John Kelly of John Kelly Furniture is an internationally recognised, multiple award-winning designer and licensed architect who lives in New York City. With over 25 years of experience in design, his portfolio includes architectural projects, home furnishings, and private label designs for an impressive list of international companies. His designs have won him numerous design awards in several categories.

DANNY FANG

Hong Kong

Fang Studio, founded by Dutch designer Danny Fang, aims to bring well thought-through design to the mass manufacturing industries. A graduate of Eindhoven Design Academy in The Netherlands, Danny moved to Hong Kong to start his own design studio in a place where he felt he could make a difference bringing better products to society.

CYNDI TAN

Malaysia

Cyndi Tan is a Group Product Manager who graduated from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology Malaysia, specialising in Industrial Design. Her design ethos revolves around prioritising user experience and minimising environmental impact by crafting sustainable pieces. With her experience in furniture business and its market needs, she represents KIAN Group in nurturing emerging talents. She judges students’ designs from renown design universities in Malaysia. Her elegant designs have won her noteworthy accolades, including Asia Seeding Project Award by Panasonic, Furniture Excellence Gold Award for MIFF (Malaysia International Furniture Fair) and Furniture Design Silver Award for CIFF (China International Furniture Fair).

ONG WEN QI

Malaysia

Ong Wen Qi, a graduate of University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), with a specialisation in Industrial Design, draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of daily life and serenity of nature. She intricately weaves practicality into her designs, being mindful not only of their visual appeal but also of the carbon footprint impact they may have. Wen Qi’s work has earned her a spot in the Top 20 finalist for MIFF 2023.
