KIAN Has Evolved at ARCHIDEX 2025

Updated: Aug 26

What if sustainability could be both visionary and practical? From 23 to 26 July 2025, KIAN made its mark at ARCHIDEX in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), proving that circular design is more than an idea—it’s a scalable solution for industries everywhere. This bold vision earned us the Curated Booth Award, a recognition of our commitment to sustainable innovation.

A Booth Built from Nature’s “Leftovers”

Our award-winning Organic Grid booth transforms what many overlook into something extraordinary. Fully constructed from oil palm trunks sourced through reforestation efforts, this open, grid-based structure embodies the balance between nature and innovation. We demonstrate palm wood’s potential as a renewable, low-waste alternative to traditional timber. Every element, from floor to the ceiling are not just visually striking but ethically built.

Sub Brands: Sustainable Solutions Made Simple

Building on last year’s transformative vision, we spotlight the next evolution of our sub-brands —BAREKA, WORK ANYWHERE and HAVEN+ — each offering complete “in-a-box” solutions tailored for the F&B, education, workspace, and hospitality industries.

This year, our core brands are further upgraded to make going green easier and we have added two game-changers:

  • SYSTEM-X, a powerful new 3D design tool with comprehensive furniture library. It streamlines project workflows through immersive, life-like visuals and instant walkthrough

  • Palm Wood Biomass, this sustainable material is sourced in Malaysia and made from palm industry by-products

We Believe in Second Chances

At KIAN, we have joined forces with partners to see potential where others see waste. By embracing palm wood biomass, our shared goal is to encourage full resource utilisation – transforming agricultural byproducts into sustainable, functional designs.

This booth and furniture are more than a display; it reaffirms our belief in second chances and reflects KIAN’s continued commitment to circular design and sustainable materials.

Our latest strategic collaboration towards a Better World includes:

  • OnCore by IOI Palm Wood, engineered from reprocessed oil palm trunks

  • Palm Loop by Panasonic, next-gen MDF board created from empty palm fruit bunches

Other strategic partners:

  • Coffex Coffee Malaysia offers ethically sourced coffee beans namely MONO Origine, served in compostable corn fiber cups. Visitors get to enjoy free coffee, where every bean supports farmers, and every cup returns to the earth

Business As a Force for Good

Through our brand promise of Better Design and Better World, we view business as a silent promise, to protect our planet and people through every conscious decision we make. From ethical sourcing to booth construction.

None of this would be possible without our collaborators who helped make this show a success. Heartfelt thanks to IOI’s OnCore, Panasonic’s Palm Loop, Coffex Coffee Malaysia and Bigstar LED for their valuable collaboration.
