Every great space begins with people, and that belief guided us at Furniture China 2025.
From 10-13 Sep, KIAN Design Studio (KDS) and BAREKA by Kian showcased their new range of collections with over 3,200 exhibitors of international furniture designers and manufacturers in SNIEC, Pudong, Shanghai.
This year’s theme, “Beyond Next”, called for all industry leaders to reimagine trends, designs and innovative materials at one of the world’s largest furniture fairs. We took the opportunity to launch our own curated design range under the brand KDS which stands for KIAN Design Studio in the global arena. This was an opportunity to reaffirm our brand promise of Better Value and Better Design, both in Furniture China and in Maison Shanghai.
BAREKA by Kian saw its second year in Furniture China, drawing crowds who were curious about Restaurant-in-a-Box.
At our booth, visitors discovered tailored solutions for workspaces, hotels and accommodations, and restaurants crafted around people. Designs that are mindful, functional and fit future trends. Pieces that not only serve a purpose but to inspire, whether in a workspace, home, or public space.

Designs that Travels, Stories that Stay
Each designer reminds us why design matters — not just as products, but as stories that inspire and connect people with shared experience. At the tradeshow, our designers brought their own philosophy to life:
Sakura Adachi (Japan) As the founder of Sakura Adachi Design Studio, she continues to design creations that balance both minimalism and mindfulness. Her latest designer collection for KIAN has captured international acclaim, with the Kanso Collection receiving the DFA Design for Asia Award 2024 and Good Design 2024–2025 Award. Her collections including Kanso, (currently showcased in European Centre-Contemporary Space Athens, Greece), Torii and SOU were also featured at the booth.

WenQi (Malaysia) Based in Malaysia, WenQi is an industrial design specialist, whose works reflect a balance of practical artistry, rooted in rich tapestry of daily life. Her creations, such as Lune and Evo, are designed to inspire comfort and adaptability, making spaces more welcoming and people centred.
Enrique Marti (Spain) founder and director of Enrique Martí Associates, he brings a wealth of experience in designing and developing products for leading furniture brands across Europe and Asia. Beyond creating, he also serves as a trusted technical advisor and product/art director, helping companies shape meaningful, market-ready designs.
